Basics of Meditation
We will start with brief gentle stretching/breathing, followed by nonreligious meditation instruction, guidance into practice, and brief silent practice. Primarily bases on Vipassana, with a mix of other methods. Chairs available, or blankets for floor sitting. Group classes not yet planned for Fall 2009; private lessons available.
Chakra Meditation: Tools for Transformation
A course for those who want to learn more about themselves, using a chakra framework and incorporating the Berkeley Psychic Institute methods. We will study the seven major chakras in depth, and basic subtle structure concepts including grounding, clearing, boundaries, auras, karma and spiritual evolution. Emphasis will be on practice, practical applications and personal growth. No previous experience required. Objectives: a deeper understanding of self and others, and an enhanced ability to live life to its fullest. Please use the Contact page to let me know of your interest; class forms when sufficient interest exists, or private lessons can be arranged.
Yoga Nidra: Deep Relaxation Seminar
A useful preparation for meditative practices, or considered a meditation in itself. Yoga Nidra helps develop deep self-awareness at physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. Click on Seminars and the October 2009 Breitenbush workshop pages to read more.
